Vilwadi Lehyam (Bilwadi Lehyam) – Uses, Dosage, Ingredients and Side Effects

Vilwadi Lehyam is an Ayurvedic preparation by Kerala Ayurveda, which is mainly indicated for the treatment of bowel and digestion related health issues. It is named after its main ingredient Vilwamula (Aegle Marmelos) also known as Bael Root which is a great herb especially known for its benefits for stomach related issues like constipation, peptic ulcers, intestinal worms infestation and many more.

Due to the bitter ingredients of this formulation, rather than preparing a liquid form, a lehyam is prepared which is like a medicated jam. Lehyams are herbal jams which are processed with a sugary media like jaggery or sugar to make it a semi-solid palatable form.
