Ayurveda identifies two varieties of Sariva – Shveta Sariva and Krishna Sariva; but both have similar therapeutic action on the body. Sometimes Sariva also forms a part of many traditional cuisines. Fermentation with Sariva provides the mixture with the alcoholic property and has an antinociceptive (Any substance that inhibits the sensation of pain) activity.
